Healing Herbs Flower Essences

Healing Herbs provides an alternative source for the 38 English flower essences familiar to practitioners and customers throughout the world. Healing Herbs™ flower essences are made from the same plant species and with the original methods employed by Dr. Edward Bach in the 1930s. The name “Bach Flower Remedies®” is often used as a generic term for these remedies. However, this name has been trademarked by the Bach Centre and the Nelson Company to designate their particular brand of the flower remedies of Dr. Bach. Just as there are a number of homeopathic companies that prepare, for example, the Arnica remedy, so there are different flower essence companies that prepare the 38 flower essences and emergency combination originally made by Dr. Bach.

Julian Barnard, founder of Healing Herbs, was a hero for Bach flowers. He passed away September 13, 2026.

Statement from Healing Herbs:
Julian founded Healingherbs with the encouragement and support of Nickie Murray, following her departure from the Bach Centre. Under her guidance he developed the education resource. This continued to be his mission throughout his life: to give free access to the work of Dr Edward Bach to the public at large.
He will be known to many of you as the warrior who enabled Bach Flowers to be recognised as a beneficial force for healing, and to others who made Bach flower essences according to the original direction of Dr Bach, and fought for them to be available worldwide.

He will be remembered across the world for the many teachings he gave, the books written and published in many languages and the recorded lectures freely available on the Healingherbs website.

NOTE: The Healing Herbs brand is distributed in the USA by FES, but is not made by FES. Some of the Bach flowers are, however, made by FES as part of their research list. Healing Herbs have light blue labels; FES have dark purple labels.
