Grey Spider Flower Single Flower Essence

Negative: Terror, panic.

Positive: Faith and courage.

This is an Essence to deal with extreme terror, especially terror experienced in life-threatening situations or psychic attack. It deals with panic and nightmares. The Essence will restore faith and trust. Interestingly enough every time I picked this flower to make the Essence I came across a spider. There is a theory that spiders are an archetypal image for primordial fear.

More Info:  This strange but very interesting flower is found in sandstone country around Sydney – it is quite common in the Terrey Hills area. The flower head is a browny grey cluster of   florets on long curving ‘legs’ and is quite furry – not unlike a rather untidy large huntsman spider. Many people react in fear to this flower while others see past the initial impact of the arachnid image and into the comforting, gentle energy within the flower. The pistils at the end of each ‘leg’ resemble a little monkey face with wide open mouth, as though it has been shocked by something very frightening.   This essence is, of course, to do with resolving terror and bringing about courage, calmness and faith.   But this is not a rescuing energy like the Waratah.   It is more a supportive energy, encouraging you to face and move through your greatest fears, knowing that someone (the Grey Spider energy) is there by your side. When people are experiencing terror, their astral body is usually fully or partly disconnected from their physical body and this is why it is not uncommon to experience an inability to move,   or to feel frozen. Grey Spider Flower will reconnect the astral to the physical.   This remedy will help where there is fear of dying, losing our identity or fear of something so terrifying that there is real danger that we may not survive it.   It helps when a terrifying event occurs unexpectedly throwing you into a state of shock.   Fringed Violet would also help in this situation. Grey Spider Flower deals with stage fright, claustrophobia and other immobilising fears.
